SBCC offers over 100 associate degrees, programs that provide you with certificates for various career paths and it’s also possible to do further studies in general education. You can do a huge range of subjects, from Accountancy, Business Law, Theatre Arts, Nursing, Journalism and many more.

Living and Studying in Santa Barbara

The campus is located on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and only 150 steps from the beach, making it one of the most picturesque campuses in America. Santa Barbara has a perfect mix of the culture and vibrancy of a big city mixed with the quiet and safety of a small coastal town. You can do a variety of things here, like outdoor sports, shopping on the popular State Street, and go to some of the best restaurants and nightlife in the country! Only 90 minutes from Los Angeles, you can easily visit one of the most famous cities in the world.

There are around 50 student clubs on the SBCC campus, making it easier to meet other like-minded people through sport, business, astronomy, art and many other activities. The college also organises a lot of multicultural events in which students can get free passes attend. All students also receive a free bus pass, which makes getting around a lot easier.

There is no on campus accommodation but there is student accommodation throughout the city. Some students prefer to stay in one of these with other students, which gives you the benefit of meeting new people and integrating into the student lifestyle, or others stay with families if they’re on a tight budget.

Applying to SBCC

To apply to SBCC, prospective students must complete an application process. Initial applicants are encouraged to contact Study Experience and submit an online application form. Following submission of an application, students will be required to provide official school transcripts translated from their native language to English and completion of an English proficiency test such as IELTS or TOEFL.

If English proficiency is a concern, SBCC offers a comprehensive language program with English language classes to help you learn and improve your fluency while you work towards your degree.
