Top Programmes

MBA Programme

Fisher offers a Masters degree of Business Administration programme in strategic leadership, focused on connecting equal amounts of “knowing” and “doing” in business. This programme prepares students for increased responsibility through the development, practice and application of knowledge and skills used by successful business professionals today. Students practice professional application of knowledge based on business cases and consistently work in small teams throughout the year to participate in social and experiential learning activities. They will practice application of skills in tasks which involve solving current problems realistic in learning environments.

Fisher’s full-time business faculty consists of business professionals who have had significant experience working in their field prior to becoming higher education teachers. They are fully committed and available for individual coaching and academic assistance. The part-time faculty are equally important as they are current professionals in their field, who bring up to date knowledge and experience of what works and what doesn’t work in their area of work.

Criminal Justice

The undergraduate Criminal Justice programme prepares students for entry level careers in law enforcement, corrections, and juvenile justice in either the public or private sector. Students are exposed to the interdisciplinary nature of the field through course such as Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, and Introduction to Criminology. Graduates of this degree can also enrol in programme electives to explore new topics in more depth as well as complete an associate’s degree level internship.

The faculty consists of highly experienced professionals, still very active in their field of work. They act as great resources for students looking to network with criminal justice professionals. This programme also has a strong co-curricular component. Students have the opportunity to engage in criminal justice research with the Center for Leadership in Public Service as well as co-author and co-present scholarly research at both regional and national level.

Sports Management

The Undergraduate Sports Management programme provides students with expertise in business management orientated towards the global sports industry, particularly as the industry has experienced immense growth over the past few decades, and in turn has become more complex and sophisticated. Students are taught how to acquire conceptual knowledge and practical skills necessary for becoming a professional within the industry, through experimental learning both inside and outside of the classroom.

Students have the opportunity to attend professional networking events and career fairs, while also having access to an array of opportunities available with sports organisations and teams in New England.
