Life and studies in Norwich

Norwich is one of the most attractive cities in Europe: combining medieval and modern architecture, a perfect destination for shopping, art and music but also for its nightlife. Tourists flock to see the cathedral and its 12th century castle. Norwich is also the city with the fourth highest concentration of referenced researchers in the U.K, after London, Oxford and Cambridge.  London is only two hours away by train and Norwich airport is connected to various international cities. Norwich is a safe and pleasant student town with the lowest crime rates in the country. In short, it’s the perfect student city!

UEA’s campus is located in 130 acres of parkland, only two miles away from the centre of Norwich – the majority of campus is wheelchair accessible. On campus, students have access to a large choice of cafés and restaurants, as well as to a health centre open to all. Various student halls are located on-campus and first year students are guaranteed a room in one of them, something which we strongly recommend as the best way to get integrated and start forming friendships.
