Norwich is one of the most attractive cities in Europe: it combines medieval and modern architecture while providing a wide range of cultural activities, nightlife and shopping. The city is a fantastic mix of medieval and modern architecture. Tourists flock to see the cathedral and its 12th century castle. Norwich is also the city with the fourth highest concentration of referenced researchers in the U.K, after London, Oxford and Cambridge. London is only two hours away by train and Norwich airport is connected to various international cities. Norwich is a safe and pleasant student town. Norwich is also one of the cities with the lowest crime rates in the country. In short, it’s the perfect student city.
The UEA campus is located in 130 acres of parkland, only two miles away from the center of Norwich. On campus, students have access to a large choice of cafés and restaurants, as well as to a health center open to all. Various student halls are located on-campus and first year students are guaranteed a room in one of them, something which we strongly recommend as the best way to get integrated and start forming friendships.
