Studying in Oxford

Oxford Brookes University (OBU) was founded in 1865. At that time, the University was called Oxford School of Art. Year after year, decade after decade, the university began to expand its degree courses and the institution finally adopted the name ‘Oxford Brookes University’ in 1992 in tribute to John Brookes, a local artist, philanthropist and the University’s director for many years. Today, the University and its modern campus of Headington welcomes over 18,000 students, 20% of whom come from all over the world. Yearly tuition fees cost £9,250.
