The first building of Middlesex University was built in 1878. Today this vast university located in the north of London has 25,000 students along with campuses in Dubai, Malta and Mauritius. It is composed of seven different faculties; Health & Education, Media & Performing Arts, Sciences & Technologies, Law, Business, Art & Design, as well as an institute for professional practice and work-based learning.
Recently, the university has invested £200 million to modernise its facilities. The result: a cutting-edge campus with state-of-the-art facilities. The school boasts a brand new library open 24/7, ultramodern technology and biology labs, lecture theatres designed especially for business and law courses, high end TV production studios, and cutting-edge studios for the Art & Design school.
The most popular courses amongst international students are the undergraduate degrees in Business, Law, Art & Design and Media. To apply to these programmes, students must have achieved a minimum score of 11/20 or 12.5/20 in their French baccalaureate, depending on the specific programme. The school of Arts & Design, and the school of Media & Performing Arts generally ask students to submit a portfolio. These programmes cost about £9,000 per year.
French students having already completed at least a year of higher studies can transfer directly into second or third year of an undergraduate degree program at Middlesex University. For instance, after a BTS or a DUT in business or management, students will be able to transfer into year 3 of the BSc in Business. Students need to have validated 60 ECTS to transfer into year 2 and 120 ECTS to transfer into year 3 of any undergraduate programme.

The deadline for applications is usually on January 15th of each year for entry in September. Complete applications must include; a CV, a translated Baccalaureate transcript, IELTS results, and a personal statement. The Study Experience team assists students in the writing of their personal statement and directs them towards the most relevant IELTS preparation program according to their level and needs. Regarding English entry requirements for Middlesex University, students must achieve a minimum IELTS score of 6.0.
