City, University of London was founded in 1894 as the Northampton Institute and later became a university in 1966 by royal charter. City University London is a public research university based at the heart of London. In September 2016, City joined the federal University of London, becoming part of the 18 Colleges and ten research institutes that make up the University today. The Health Professions courses at the School of Health Sciences were ranked 1st in London and 2nd in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2018.
The School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering hosts some of the best engineering courses throughout the UK, in fact, both Electronic & Electrical and Mechanical Engineering courses were ranked 2nd in London and 11th in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2017.
Undergraduate applications to City University are made through UCAS. Study Experience is a specialist in supporting and helping international students through the UCAS application process. At postgraduate level, the applications are made to the university directly, with our help.
Complete applications must include: a CV, a translated Baccalaureate transcript, IELTS results, and a personal statement. The Study Experience team assists students in the writing of their personal statement and directs them towards the most relevant IELTS preparation programme according to their level and needs. Regarding English entry requirements for City University, students must achieve a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 in each of the test areas (Reading, writing, speaking and listening).

City’s main campus is in central London in the Islington borough, but has additional campuses in Islington, the City, the West End and East End.
Accommodation is split out across five areas; Liberty Court, Liberty Hall, East Central House, The Gardens Halls and Tufnell House. All which are easily accessible from the University.
