Founded in 1962 by the Church of England, Canterbury Church University obtained its official public university status in 2005. Its main campus is located in the heart of Canterbury, a world heritage site whose cathedral attracts visitor from all over whole world.
The university has 16,000 students in total, of which 6% are internationals from 80 different countries. To apply for a bachelor’s degree, students must hold a baccalaureate with an average of at least 12/20 average, although a higher mark can be required for certain courses. Tuition fees at Canterbury Christ University cost £9,250 per year, and scholarships are available for international students.
