As the largest city in Canada and the 5th largest city in North America, Toronto needs no introduction. For students seeking a cosmopolitan study experience in the heart of an urban center, Toronto offers world-class cultural experiences as well as tremendous nightlife. Recognized by the United Nations as one of most multicultural cities in the world, Toronto invites students to take a dip in the Canadian melting pot while studying at a highly ranked technical school.
George Brown University offers 35 short courses in the form of one-year certificates and two-year diplomas, 6 long format programs like the four-year bachelor’s degree, and 27 post-graduate programs such as the post-grad certificate. George Brown specialties include nursing, financial services, business, applied technology, hospitality operations, and commerce.
As well as offering a full complement of diplomas and degrees, George Brown students may also enroll in a co-op program with an internship in one of several local businesses. Following graduation, students enrolled in the co-op program often remain in Canada for up to three years to put their newfound knowledge into practice under the post-graduate work permit.
George Brown retains four campuses near Union Station in downtown Toronto. International students are typically placed with host families, but also retain the option of living off-campus in one of many collocations throughout the city.
