Monash University has seven campuses in Australia and several others spread out across the world, from Italy to Malysia to South Africa. It has 70 000 students of which 26 000 – almost a third – are internationals. It’s a prestigious university boasting many awards : the Times Education World University Rankings (2016-2017) awarded it 74th place in its general ranking and 21st in the most international universities in the world.

Monash University is part of the Group of Eight, which encompasses the most prestigious australian universities. These universities are renowned for producing students who get hired faster, and on higher salaries than average. These students also have higher chances than their peers to be accepted on to very competitive masters and doctorate programs.

Monash Universitys campus rivals those of american universities. Just in terms of sports clubs, the university has over 50 ! The sporting infrastructure is therefore extensive : american football and soccer fields, cricket grounds, hockey rings etc… Not to mention the dozens of cultural, artistic, academic or religious societies. Courses et specialties

As mentioned above, Monash is very highly ranked : best australian university in engineering and technology (Times Higher Education 2016-2017) ; as well as in chemistry (Academic Ranking of World Universities, 2015) ; 41st in the world for medicine and health studies (Times Higher Education, 2016-2017) ; and 63rd in the world for business and economics (Times Higher Education, 2016-2017).

In addition to these awards, Monash is highly sought after for its arts programmes.

Monash University offers bachelors, masters and doctorates, but also foundation year programmes in various areas : accounting, mathematics, biology, chemistry, economics, international relations, computer science, music and physics. The foundation year programmes also include intensive english lessons to allow students to reach the required english proficiency for a bachelors programme.
To join Monash University on a bachelor programme, a student must have a baccalaureat with a minimum of 12/20 average, as well as a minimum of 6.5 IELTS score.

For foundation year programmes, the required scores are 5.5 on the IELTS or 471 on the TOEFL paper test.

Monash University have five campuses in the Melbourne region. They all feature student residences. These are integrated into the campus and offer numerous activities to bond with fellow students. Each room has a big bed, a desk, a chair and a chest of drawers. In certain residences, they are also equipped with a kitchenette. The residences also offer studios and certain campuses also allow students to share a house of two to five rooms.
