Les Roches is a school that provides leading Swiss hospitality teaching and business management education. The campuses are located in three key international hospitality business hubs: Switzerland, Spain and China. Teaching is standardized across all campuses, meaning students are able to rotate through campuses with the Global Degree or transfer during the BBA programme for one semester. With over 100 nationalities represented within the student boy, Les Roches enhances your international network and provides valuable work experience through internship programmes. The school is home to a small community of 2700 students, and with a 15:1 student to teacher ratio, you will work closely with the highly experienced and knowledgeable faculty.

Les Roches puts a strong focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. Students are empowered to take initiative and become leaders both inside and outside the classroom. At the Innovation Lab in Switzerland, students can benefit from the latest technologies, such as 3D printers and multimedia tools to build product prototypes, apps and more. Digital learning tools are also integrated into teaching and with its strong industry links, Les Roches is at the forefront of emerging trends. With the help of these facilities, internship opportunities and campus activities, the university is dedicated to developing entrepreneurial talent.

Campuses

Bluche Campus, Switzerland

This picturesque campus is located in the Swiss Alpes, near the Bluche village and the renowned summer and ski resort, Crans-Montana. Living among spectacular scenery, students are able to take advantage of a host of outdoor activities, while also exploring the culture and Gastronomy that Switzerland has to offer.

There are a number of fine dining and casual eateries on campus, as well as a student space to organise events, societies and relax with peers. One of the most anticipated events of the semester is the bi-annual Cultural Night, a culinary and artistic celebration of all the nationalities represented at the school.

Marbella, Spain Campus

Located in a top luxury tourism destination, the Marbella campus upholds the high quality of Swiss hospitality education will immersing students in active life and Spanish culture. Students receive free access to Manolo Santana Racquets Club where they can enjoy tennis, paddle tennis, a fully equipped gym, aerobic classes, a sauna and outdoor swimming pool. There are also many other sport clubs and societies to get involved in as well as a range of student-led events hosted throughout the year.

The campus offers modern accommodation, three restaurants and state-of-the-art learning facilities, from kitchens tailored to different food and beverage concepts, hotel rooms, front office, a library, a computer laboratory and a media centre. There is also plenty to do within the city itself. Marbella features many upscale cafes, restaurants, bars and nightclubs, while also hosting a number of music concerts and sports championships.

Shanghai, China Campus

The modern campus in Shanghai offers a peaceful student experience with access to a vibrant cosmopolitan city. Students will be immersed in Asian culture and be able to learn from one of the world’s most powerful drivers of economic and hospitality related growth, while still benefiting from high quality Swiss hospitality education. Located in the Fengxian district, Les Roches campus is just a one-hour drive away from Shanghai’s lively city center. Within the town you can explore five-star hotels and restaurants, traditional and modern architecture, world-renowned shopping and cultural landmarks.  The university organises cultural trips to many of these locations, where students are able to learn about local customs and develop their multicultural fluency. The university takes an integrated approach to learning Mandarin, ensuring a good level is developed through daily conversation practice and communication with the locals.

Students can stay at either of the two modern accommodation buildings and eat at the fine dining or casual eateries on campus. They are also able to benefit from state-of-the-art facilities including a language lab, computer lab, an excellent library, demonstration kitchen and many other learning tools and facilities.

Programmes

Undergraduate

Les Roches offers two undergraduate programmes: BBA in Global Hospitality Management & Diploma in international hotel management. Both of these programmes aim to provide students with a foundation in hospitality management, a global outlook to lead and work in hospitality businesses as well as practical work experience to best prepare graduates for the world of work upon leaving Les Roches.

Postgraduate

Les Roches offers three postgraduate programmes: Masters in International Hotel Management (Spain, 9 months learning programme followed by 6 months industry experience), MBA in Global Hospitality Management (Switzerland, 1 year including business field trips and consultancy project) & International Hospitality Management Diploma (either of the 3 campuses, 1 year including 1 semester of industry experience).
