Glion puts students in a prime location for hotel management studies. Switzerland is home to more than 85 luxury hotels, 11 Michelin star restaurants, 337 ski resorts and 900+ museums. There is also plenty for students to discover including historic towns, cultural activities and tourist excursions.
The Glion campus is set in a beautiful location which overlooks the town of Montreux and offers panoramic views of lake Léman and the Alpes. Glion is home to 350 students, has 5 accommodation buildings and 4 bars and restaurants. Two gastronomic restaurants exist on campus: La Bellevue and Fresh. These are open to the public so that students are able to experience client facing work. There are plenty of sporting activities students can get involved in, both recreationally and competitively, as well as a centre of fitness which contains a gym.
This campus is located in the historic town of Bulles, an ideal spot for students to relax and study in peaceful surroundings. There are plenty bars, restaurants and shops for students to entertain themselves, among other great facilities on campus. There are 700 students on campus at Bulles, as well as 4 accommodation buildings, 2 cafés and a large library. The Bulles campus also offers students the opportunity to benefit from free-of-charge fitness memberships and the chance to participate in team sports and recreational activities.
The London campus is conveniently located in the number 1 Trip Advisor destination spot of 2016. With over 250 festivals per year, 65 Michelin Star restaurants and a host of luxury hotels, students are in a prime location to learn and gain experience from the hospitality industry.
Hospitality students study at the Glion building in the heart of the University of Roehampton campus, which contains 6 classrooms, common spaces, cafés and currently teaches 200 students. The campus is bigger and far more international than those in Switzerland, providing a holistic student experience. With London at your doorstep, there is plenty to do and a lot to discover.
The programmes at Glion prepare students for a career in hospitality through internship experience and specialisation. Class sizes are small and students are able to seek assistance form the highly committed, experienced and knowledgable staff base. Glion facilities are equipped with the latest technology to develop students’ skills and give them real world experience.
The Bachelor programme allows specialisation in three areas: Luxury Brand Management, International Hotel & Financial Development and International Events Management. After the first compulsory semester in Switzerland, students are able to switch campus or spend a semester in one of the partner institutions in Spain or China.
Glion offers 4 masters programmes: International Hotel Management, Luxury Brand & Client Experience Management, Hospitality Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Property Hotel and Finance Management. Students will experience and learn from 5 star hospitality services, receive intensive training and meet leaders of the industry. Students will also participate in the Capstone project as part of their degree, which aims to develop their research and analytical skills in order to improve their understanding of building a professional career within their chosen fields.
Students may choose to pursue a Masters degree of 1.5 years or 2 years depending on how much internship experience they would like.
