Hi everyone! I made this video for my parents and friends who wanted to see what my school is like. Of course, it's not only for them... everyone can watch it :-)
ELS Universal English College in Syd...
English classes take place in a modern building equipped with all the latest technology. The school and its 25 classrooms all have air conditioning. Students have access to two computer labs, as well as to several lounges where they can relax, play table tennis, or enjoy the piano.
UEC also boasts a big library and a resource center, as well as free Wi-Fi everywhere in the building.
The legendary beach of Bondi is just a 30-minute bus ride away. The Royal Botanic Gardens — where many students have their lunch — is also located near the school. UEC often organizes weekend activities to allow their students to bond while discovering Sydney.
The staff at UEC is dynamic and friendly. Teachers are highly qualified and are here to support students throughout their stay. They create an ideal environment for learning, rigorous and fun at the same time. Some of the teachers are actually IELTS and/or Cambridge examiners; therefore, they perfectly understand the requirements of these exams and are able to prepare their students for success.
UEC offers a range of diverse programs adapted to the needs and objectives of every student. The Academic English program is directed to students wishing to join an Australian university without having to take the IELTS or any other official exam. The students start with an intensive English learning program aiming to improve their listening, reading, speaking and writing skills, as well as their grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. Students then move on to the Academic English program during which they familiarize themselves with the requirements of the Australian higher education system. UEC holds partnerships with over 40 different universities. Students validating their Academic English program are guaranteed a place at university without having to sit the IELTS examination. This program lasts a minimum of eight weeks and costs 3280 AUD.
The General English program offered at UEC is directed at students of all levels wishing to improve their English. It is a flexible program: students decide of the length of their stay and of the intensity of their classes. UEC applies a sliding price scale for this program: from 385 AUD per week for eight weeks of classes.
UEC also offers a IELTS preparation program. This program lasts a minimum of four weeks and costs 1540 AUD. Students take 20 hours of classes each week for up to 12 weeks.
UEC is at the heart of Sydney: an ideal location to discover the city and make the most of its attractions. Sydney is constantly ranked among the 10 best cities in the world. It is hard to find a better destination to study and relax at the same time.
In terms of accommodation, UEC takes the well-being of its students very seriously. As soon as they arrive, students get to meet the accommodation officer who will have chosen a host family for them. The officer meets with students every month to ensure that all is going well in their host family. Students can also opt for a room in one of the partnering student halls. A homestay usually costs 237 AUD per week while student halls are around 287 AUD per week.
