Live and study in Brisbane

The campuses are located in the centre of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, and the third largest city in Australia. It is a cosmopolitan city with a lively centre, many parks and open spaces, bike paths and sports and recreation centres. It is an ideal place to live and study.

The majority of students stay in host families while studying. This option is ideal for discovering the Australian way of life and the city of Brisbane. All host families are carefully selected by IES: they live in safe neighbourhoods and offer a private and individual room for each student. All meals and a 24/7 telephone assistance are included in the price. The latter amounts to 265 Australian dollars per week, roughly about 174 euros.

Students can also stay in a student residence. Located 35 minutes from the language centre, this option includes a breakfast and dinner service five days a week. Finally, students also have the opportunity to rent apartments, alone or in shared flats. IES supports its students in their efforts to find a home whatever their choice.

Following a foundation year at IES is an extraordinary opportunity. Studying at such a prestigious university as the University of Queensland is an undeniable asset for a professional career. For more information on this programme, feel free to contact a member of the Study Experience team.
