The Gap Year programme

The Gap Year Programme (Academic English Programme) is ideal for learning English while experiencing a year of study in a true British college. Students can register for 1, 2 or 3 semesters, which represent 13, 25, and 34 weeks, respectively.

Students have 25 hours of classes per week. In addition to English classes, students may choose to take courses in the academic field of their choice from the following options:

  • Business
  • Sport
  • Science
  • IT
  • Art & Design
  • Construction
  • Beauty
  • Tourism

These courses combine international and British students and allow them to discover a foreign university system while developing basic knowledge in the field of their choice.

This Gap Year programme also offers many extracurricular activities and outings: the perfect opportunity to meet local and international students.

Language progression is one of CRC’s priorities: students are divided according to their levels, into small and homogeneous groups for rapid and visible progress. These courses prepare students for the Cambridge English exams and the IELTS exam; both recognised worldwide.

Live and study in Cambridge

Home to one of the largest universities in the world, Cambridge is a vibrant cultural city. You will find the colleges linked to the university, which are regularly open to visitors.

Cambridge is only an hour’s train journey from London, and from its airports, so it is conveniently located and the cost of living is cheap compared to the capital.

International CRC students have the choice between different housing options: staying with a host family, a student residence or living in a flat share. The first option is ideal to know the English way of life but also to practice English throughout your stay. The residence allows you to taste the joys of the student life while developing your independence.
