Why do an internship abroad?

An internship abroad is a unique opportunity to brush up on your English skills whilst still gaining valuable work experience. It is becoming harder and harder to differentiate yourself on the job market, but experience in another country is something that most employers will value very highly. You will learn how to be adaptable, by experiencing a new environment and work ethic and you will also be able to get a head start in building your own professional network. More than anything, gaining work experience abroad is simply an efficient and affordable way to improve you employability back home !

In which sectors can I do my placement?

We can find an internship for you in practically any area, regardless of your prior level of study. Whether you are a business student, an engineer, an arts student or a graduate in hotel management, we will most certainly have a quality option for you. 

Preparing your internship

  • To begin with, you will need to establish the exact area in which you would like to do you internship abroad. 

  • You will then send us a copy of your CV and submit evidence of your English level (a minimum level is required).

  • We may also ask for your transcripts or any evidence of prior study

  • A Study Experience will help you prepare a personal statement and you should also send us any reference letters you may have from previous employers or teachers. 

  • All these documents must be submitted in English.

  • Once it has been established that your internship is possible, Study Experience will ask you for a placement fee (contact us for a free quote). Your placement is 100% guaranteed once the fee has been paid.

Before your departure

  1. During a first interview, a counsellor will establish whether or not your internship project is viable. 

  2. Once the counsellor confirms that your internship is possible, a placement fee will be charged and your internship is guaranteed.

  3. You will receive a detailed proposition from an employer, that corresponds to your criteria.  

  4. A second interview is then orgnaised with the potential employer. 

  5. Once the internship is confirmed, we will help you prepare your departure (visa, flights, accommodation...). 

Is my internship guaranteed?

Your internship abroad is guaranteed : we commit to finding you a placement but also guarantee the quality of this placement. This means that Study Experience will refund any administrative fees should no internship be found. Your internship will be adapted to your objectoves and study level - of course, it will also be in-line with any criteria imposed by your school. 

Once on-site, you will meet a local counsellor who will accompany you throughout your stay. You may come to him with any questions and he will serve as a mediator should you come accross any problems within your host company. 

What if my English level isn't good enough?

It is possible to associate English language courses to your internship - you could do 6 months English, followed by 6 months internship, for example. You will find more information on our English courses in the language course part of our website
